DISIRE is introducing a three fold novel solution that it is consisting of: a) inline sensors, b) industrial cloud based analytics, and c) Integrated Process Control cognitive reconfigurable schemes for adapting the optimal operation of industrial processes.
This unique solution is aiming in fulfilling the gap in the industrial sector/industrial processes towards the need for a continuous and optimal operation of the processes that will optimize the production, minimize the energy consumption and the CO2 emissions.
DISIRE was inspired by the needs of multiple industrial sectors, including the non-ferrous, ferrous, chemical and steel sectors, aiming to evolve the existing industrial processes through an overall resource and energy efficiency paradigm, by developing miniaturised Process Analyzing technique (PAT) technologies capable of being inserted into flows of raw materials.
DISIRE for the first time ever proposes a sensing technology that can follow the evolution of the industrial processes (hardware so in combination with advanced AI algorithms (software) for the modeling and overall control reconfiguration of the industrial process for enabling an operation near to optimality. With DISIRE the properties of the raw materials or product flows will be dramatically integrated by their transformation in a unique inline measuring system that extends the level of knowledge and awareness of the internal dynamics of the undergoing processes.

DISIRE has been demonstrated at a TRL 7 and has indicated the direct and real impact that it has at the process industry and more specifically in the steel, the mining and the chemical sector. The DISIRE based impacts have been quantified and demonstrated from an environmental and economical perspective.
