This project result is a gamebook, i.e. an interactive plot based, where the choices made by readers are hyperlinks that allow the unfolding of the narrative. This aims to inform the public about the functioning of Venetian criminal justice in the early modern age by offering four different storylines and including fact-sheets and images. The four storylines address as many specific aspects of pre-modern criminal justice: the relations between crimes and courts; how public jsutice worked; the existence of international justice between late Middle Ages and the Renaissance; out-of-court settlement of disputes.
