Das Internationale Forschungszentrum für kritische Rohstoffe für fortschrittliche Industrietechnologien der Universität Burgos (UBU) verfügt über das nötige Fachwissen, um eine umfassende Nachhaltigkeitsbewertung unter Berücksichtigung ökologischer, wirtschaftlicher und sozialer Aspekte zu erstellen. Nach Abschluss dieser Bewertung wird eine Reihe von Empfehlungen für nachhaltigere Lösungen auf verschiedenen Stufen der Wertschöpfungskette gegeben. ICCRAM bietet auch einen “Sustainable by Design”-Ansatz an, der neue Ideen für die Umgestaltung des Produkts in ein nachhaltigeres Konzept liefert.

Das zu bewertende System wird analysiert und das Ziel und der Umfang definiert. Der Kunde liefert spezifische Informationen über die Inputs und Outputs des Produktsystems (Inventarisierungsphase). Anhand dieser Informationen wird ICCRAM den LCSA-Prozess modellieren und durchführen, interpretieren und die Empfehlungen ausarbeiten. Spezifische Ergebnisse im Rahmen der LCSA-Modellierung sind:
– Bestandsanalyse und Akkreditierungsprozess
– Interpretation der ökologischen, wirtschaftlichen und sozialen Auswirkungen (vollständiger Bericht)

Schließlich erhält der Kunde eine Reihe von “Sustainable by Design”-Empfehlungen, einschließlich Änderungen, die seine Nachhaltigkeitsleistung unter den drei Aspekten (ökologisch, ökonomisch und sozial) deutlich verbessern werden.
