The “Landslides” tool is designed for a wide range of users ranging from the administrator, to geologists, to researcher. The Landslide tool is a facilitator that allows the user to quickly query the landslide inventory and connect it to other environmental data. This integrated approach makes the information accessible to multiple categories of users. Furthermore, the aim is to drastically reduce limitations for landslide susceptibility and risk assessment in the Campania area, from regional to municipal scale. It supports understanding of slope instability distribution and landslide risk assessment as well as correct land use and management. It uses, connects and communicates multiple environmental databases, among these there is the revised landslide inventory for the Campania region, resulting from a very large effort which enabled to process existing landslide inventories. In addition the tool connect with other databases reporting the impact of landslide in terms of forest integrity, habitat quality and vegetation indexes.
