Under the Marine-EO PCP project we have developed specific EO solutions to better manage the marine environment and to introduce sustainable practices. As required by Marine-EO the holistic approach both in terms of merging knowledge on the marine environment and merging tools, technologies, and data sources, was the project key issue. Our solutions need to be industrialized in order to reach all the potential end users already identified. 

TRL: Our complete solution successfully underwent a one-month operational test in the frame of the Marine-EO PCP.

CRL: Some subsystems of our solution (the web platform, the high-resolution water quality maps based on numerical models and on EO imagery) are commercialized by the corresponding partners of our consortium.

IRL: A business plan and market analysis study has been performed in the frame of the Marine-EO PCP.

Our Marine-EO solution was technically designed to provide easily scalable services. The services rely mostly on automatic processes. These processes are hosted on a cloud infrastructure, namely the WEkEO Copernicus DIAS, and make use of the Docker technology.

Furthermore, our solution is based on subsystems which are already commercialized individually. 

Finally, our consortium is composed of major actors of the Earth Observation and Environment Monitoring fields, allowing to rely on their organizational structure to bring the Marine-EO solution to a larger scale.  

Our Marine-EO solution was technically designed to be applicable to any area of interest in the world. It is based on EO sensors providing global coverage, as well as globally available CMEMS products. The system relies on downscaling to provide high-resolution forecast data. This technique is notably applied to the CMEMS global products, which present a coarser resolution than the regional products available only in European seas.

This replicability has already been demonstrated over 6 areas of interest with various geographical characteristics in the frame of the Marine-EO PCP.
