Modular System Design

Listing Description

We design systems in accordance to VDI 2776 and VDI VDE NAMUR 2658. The modularization described in the both mentioned guidelines adresses continuous and batch process plants.

The core of this modular design is a new information technology called Module Type Package (MTP). The MTP is a description file of the automation system which enables for standardized and automatic integration of the modules in a process control system.

We support in designing a suitable modular concept by identifing modules, descriping their interface and implementing their automation system in accordance to the guidelines.

The modular design of process plants allows for a more flexible production and reaction to changing market or product demands. Modular plants can be build up from the individual modules and with the fast integration in the process control system the time to a production ready process plant with available modules can be drastically reduced.

The modular design allows also for more easy extension of the process plant to increase capacity or also to distribute the investment over time and reducing the risk when introducing new products.
