Result description
During the course of the Cell3Ditor project, Promethean Particles utilised their novel continuous-flow technology to develop routes to manufacture dispersions of nanomaterials which were new to the company; namely Yttrium Stabilised Zirconia (YSZ), Nickel Oxide (NiO) and Lanthanum Strontium Manganite (LSM). Through rapid prototyping on their bench-scale systems, the process parameters could be fine-tuned to optimise the product structure, particle size and yield, before being upscaled to their pilot-scale facilities which have a production capacity of multi kg-per-day. Now, using their Infinity Series plant – which is the largest reactor system of its kind in the world – Promethean are able to manufacture these nanomaterials at a 1000 tons-per-year scale, with the low CAPEX and OPEX (compared to other manufacturing technologies) of the process making the products commercially and economically attractive.
As a result of these developments in the Cell3Ditor project, Promethean Particles will be launching these nanomaterials as commercial products on their Website Store in late 2019/early 2020 (please see link below to the Website Store).
