Result description
Lignin powder is used as an additive in the formulation of bio-rubber pads. The lignin is isolated from the lignocellulosic biomass using the alkaline process used in the pulp and paper industry. In a further step, the lignin is purified by acid treatment to improve its thermal properties, which are important for the composition and compatibility with other materials in the formulation of bio-rubber pads.

Current stage description
