We are looking for interested adopters of the solution: infrastructure owners, infrastructure managers, concessionaires, construction & engineering companies. OMICRON’s DSS is oriented towards roads, but some of its specific developments and algorithms can be adapted to other sectors such as transport and mobility (railway, maritime…).

The Road Decision Support System is currently under development as part of OMICRON’s project. By the end of the project the DSS will have been fully-developed and tested in a real-life demonstrator. After the demonstration phase the next steps will be to commercialse the system and find early adopters.

The DSS is completely scalable, during OMICRON project it has been applied to specific roads for its testing, however, the methodologies can be extended to broader road extensions or be applied to different locations. The technology is highly dependent on data, therefore it can be adapted to different scenarios as long as the necessary data for the analysis is provided.

The DSS can be used and replicated in different situations and contexts. If the information in which the DSS is based is provided (basic information regarding traffic, maintenance and infrastructure condition parameters) it can be directly applied to any new scenario. If different types of information are provided, the algorithms and methodologies can be adapted to the new use cases, this can be applied as well to sectors different from the road sector.

The optimization of resources derived from the adequate application of the DSS leads to a sustainable road exploitation, reducing resources usage, waste and transport times among others.
