Result description
The SRA covers the 4 domains: operational, ICT, regulatory and economic:
Operation analysis: Two main mechanism for activation:Direct – DSO single managed: Robust solution and relative difficult to be scaled up; Indirect – Multi managed: Relative easy to mange and potential to be scaled up easily
ICT analysis: Characterization of the two main architectures for deeper understanding of the current-state-of-the art ICT infrastructure; Assessment of the potential bottlenecks in subnetworks or problems with data storage and set of recommendations for scalability
Regulatory analysis: Envisioning the current problems at local (usual DSOs operation) but also international level (tendency of aggregators and service providers); A strong need to adapt regulations to take flexibilities into account (for instance twice grid tariff for the storage units for drawing and feeding energy into the grid)
Economic analysis: Cost benefit analysis; Assess the economic value of specific innovative Smart Grids solutions in a long-term manner (confidential, only for members
of the consortium)
