From the alloy idea to the industrially ready L-PBF component – we offer the complete process chain under one roof.
At IFW Dresden, we develop new, process-optimized materials for selective laser melting (Laser Powder Bed Fusion, L-PBF) and implement them through to the finished component. Our infrastructure covers the entire workflow – from the production of starting alloys and powders to additive manufacturing on industrial L-PBF systems and material- and component-oriented characterization. Open software platforms, high-resolution process monitoring, and flexible machine configurations enable us to efficiently process both established and difficult-to-weld alloy systems.
