The smart grid hub as an IT tool achieves full integration of DSO distribution management systems and a public smart meter framework. Novel control algorithms enable imporvements in existing use cases and open the door for new use cases, both potentially resutling in an overall increase in operational efficiency and improved hosting capacity for DER.
