Result description
The tool has the capability of optimizing the plant’s configuration/energy mix in two steps: a screening to identify potential configurations within the boundary limits and the “Base Case Evolution” search. Moreover, the control system integrated in SRH-M tool acts as a Reasonably Prudent Operator, using different control strategies (price-based vs. demand-based) and different “market signals” (price is intensive, while demand is extensive).
As part of the methodology to prepare Sustainable Roadmaps of Energy Generation Systems, two potential branches have been identified: developing countries with highly interconnected systems that aim to achieve a progressive and sustainable renewable technologies penetration in their power system and poorly interconnected systems that aims at an economically viable strengthening based on renewable resources
The tool that optimally size the Smart Renewable Hubs at each location, taking into account grid and market requirements
