HySpex offers specially modified versions of its standard hyperspectral cameras for deployment at stratospheric altitudes. These systems are optimized for extreme conditions and long-range data acquisition, enabling precise imaging from high-altitude balloons, aircraft, or near-space platforms. The systems integrate a data acquisition unit (DAU) and are capable of detecting phenomena such as atmospheric methane at altitudes of up to 20 km.

You will receive:

  • Modified high-altitude HySpex camera system

    • SWIR-640: ~3.4 m Ground Sample Distance (GSD) @ 20 km altitude

    • Mjolnir V-1240: ~5.2 m GSD @ 20 km altitude

  • Integrated Data Acquisition Unit (DAU)

  • Methane detection capabilities (SWIR)

  • Ruggedized system design for stratospheric conditions

  • Optional configurations:

    • Mjolnir S-620 (SWIR)

    • Mjolnir VS-620 (VNIR+SWIR full spectrum)

Systems are custom-adapted depending on mission altitude, platform type, and desired GSD/resolution.
