Result description
We developed innovative bio-composite materials by combining biobased or biodegradable polymers (e.g., PLA, PBAT) with micronized organic waste fibers such as rice husk. Through our patented NTP technology, these fillers are treated and integrated into thermoplastic matrices to create high-performance, VOC-less, and low-carbon materials. Applications range from cosmetic and food packaging to pet toys and furniture. These solutions meet market demands for circularity, low environmental impact, and compliance with food contact and biodegradability regulations.
Our result is a family of bio-composite materials created by compounding biobased or biodegradable polymers (PLA, PBAT, PHAs FAMILY) with micronized agro-industrial waste such as cork, rice husk, wood, and silverskin. Using a patented NTP fiber treatment and extrusion process, these compounds achieve improved mechanical properties, reduced VOCs, and high environmental performance. They are suitable for injection molding, extrusion, and hot press applications. Our materials are intended for circular value chains in sectors such as food and cosmetic packaging, consumer goods, pet accessories, and sustainable furniture. The result supports the EU Green Deal and bioeconomy strategy by replacing fossil-based plastics and valorizing organic waste streams.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
We have developed and validated our bio-composites at pilot scale. Prototypes have been shared with potential partners. Next steps include industrial testing, certification (e.g. food contact, compostability), and scale-up. We are seeking commercial and investment partners to support market entry.
Our production process is based on standard extrusion and compounding technologies compatible with industrial-scale equipment. The raw materials (biopolymers and agro-industrial waste fillers) are accessible and available in large quantities across Europe. The modularity of our formulations also allows easy adaptation to different product applications and production capacities.
The formulation and compounding process can be replicated across various sectors (packaging, furniture, consumer goods) and geographies. The fiber treatment and carrier blend are adaptable to different agro-waste inputs depending on local availability, making it suitable for distributed production models or licensing strategies in circular economies worldwide.
Our business model is rooted in circular economy principles: we valorize agro-industrial by-products and reduce the reliance on fossil-based plastics. Our materials offer reduced carbon footprint, low VOC emissions, and compliance potential for food contact and compostability standards. We aim to create long-term environmental and economic value for manufacturers, brands, and consumers.
