The results show that the literature is rich in analyzing implemented policies and issues related to the strategies and organizational models of companies looking for a more sustainable path. Publications conclude that greater collaboration is required amongst academics, companies and government. However, it was seen that there is still a long way to go in terms of evaluation of the socioeconomic and environmental impacts.
The results obtained for the Bioeconomy in Spain are important for knowing its development and how policy makers can react and promote strategies that focus on the promotion of the Bioeconomy.
We analyse the Bioeconomy impact for Spain, using SAM with the details of the bioeconomy sectors (BioSAM). The linkages between the Bioeconomy sectors are analysed, detecting which sectors are the most important and how they can react to external policy shocks. The detail of the employment generated by each product related to the Bioeconomy is also of great importance in this analysis. The results of this analysis are essential to be able to evaluate the progress of the Bioeconomy in Spain and continue with the development by its policy makers in the most appropriate way.
