RGS’ Thermagy modules were demonstrated for 2 applications in the metallurgical industry:
During one month, waste heat harvesting based on ThermagyTM panels was demonstrated Elkem’s Silicon plant in Norway. The demonstration comprised thermal exposure up to the melting temperature of silicon (1450oc), in an industrial environment.
A smart combination of heat flow control to the product and waste heat recovery was demonstrated in the wire rod mill plant of Arcelor Mittal in Spain.
These demonstrators are excellent examples of the numerous applications for ThermagyTM panels in industrial waste heat recovery.
