This technology applies flash lamp annealing (FLA), also known as pulsed light or photonic curing, as a rapid thermal process for recycling and material recovery. It enables ultra-fast heating of surfaces within microseconds to milliseconds, supporting efficient end-of-life processing, including fragmentation, separation, and material recovery. The solution also incorporates Life Cycle Assessment considerations and supports large-area processing up to 1200 × 600 mm with high energy densities. Fraunhofer FEP provides scalable process development and integration for circular economy applications.
