| Short Company Description | We are a non-university research institution and R&D service provider specialized in digitalized construction and automation. Our activities span funded research projects and industrial engineering services with a strong focus on construction machinery, construction robotics, additive manufacturing, and work safety.
We operate at the interface of applied and market-oriented research, offering expertise in prototype development, implementation, and testing. A large-scale testing facility in Goerlitz, currently under construction, will provide state-of-the-art environments for trials, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange. Our machine park includes a 22-ton excavator, a battery-electric wheel loader, a 27-meter fast-erecting crane, versatile craft robots, and a stationary heavy-duty industrial robot for 3D concrete printing – enabling realistic testing and demonstration.
Our research and development portfolio includes: assistance systems, automated solutions, user interfaces, software development, sensor processing, and control concepts. We use virtual prototyping, multi-domain simulation, and interactive simulators for early validation of functions, usability, and performance. Our work also covers digital twins for real-time monitoring, remote operation, communication interface design, computer vision, and robotic adaptation for construction.
In the field of additive manufacturing, we advance 3D concrete printing technologies, including contour and full-wall printing, print head development, and reinforced concrete printing. |
