Brewing Innovation: KA-RZ Turns Coffee Grounds into Sustainable Construction Products
Olaf Elze, owner of K-MÄLEON, had a bold vision: turning waste coffee grounds into a sustainable insulating material. To scale his idea, he needed funding and the developing partners.
With our support, K-MÄLEON joined the EU project GREENEST, unlocking 350.000 Euro funding and access to testing, validation labs and a demonstration building . Now KA-RZ is on its way to market — redefining insulation and giving new life to everyday waste.
We work closely with KETMarket to drive our EU-funded project efficiently and with clear focus. It’s a win-win situation: everyone brings their strengths – we concentrate on technical development and the product, while KETMarket takes care of bureaucracy, coordination, and funding management. Together, we rely on a clear and solution-oriented collaboration to make innovation possible.

From Fraunhofer Spin-Off to EU Success : PVA Vision’s HyperSpectral Innovation Wins EU Support
Freshly spun out of the Fraunhofer Society, DIVE GmbH (today PVA Vision GmbH) needed financing, development partners, and a complete supply chain to bring their HyperSpectral Vision systems for semiconductor quality control to the market.
Together, we planned and submitted the HyperImage project to the EU Horizon Europe research & innovation funding programme.
As a result, the consortium recieved a total funding of € 5.561 million . PVA Vision GmbH secured access to the full supply chain—from light sources, optics, and cameras to integration with end users. With the EU funding, PVA vision manufactured a working prototype which is currently being testing it in real operational environments.
Working with KETmarket made it easy for us to apply for the EU's Horizon programme. The professional services provided in preparing the application and supporting the project are also a great help.
