EU-India Matchmaking Event in New Delhi and Greater Noida 2026 – Call for Expression of Interest – SMEs

Description

This Call for Expression of Interest (EoI) invites SMEs from EU Member States and SMP/COSME-associated countries to apply for participation in the EU–India Matchmaking Event 2026, which will take place in New Delhi and Greater Noida (India).

The initiative is organised by the European Commission via the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) and aims to support SMEs in:

  • Internationalisation
  • Market access in India
  • Business matchmaking with Indian counterparts
  • Cluster and ecosystem cooperation

Selected SMEs will participate in a dedicated matchmaking mission alongside clusters and other European participants, focused on strengthening EU–India industrial and innovation cooperation.

Funding Amount

  • No financial support or reimbursement is provided for SMEs.
  • All participation costs must be covered by participating SMEs themselves.

Submission Deadlines

Expressions of interest must be submitted through EUSurvey by:

  • First cut-off: 17 June 2026, 23:59 Brussels time
  • Second cut-off: 8 July 2026, 23:59 Brussels time (only if places remain)
  • Third cut-off: 31 August 2026, 23:59 Brussels time (only if places remain)
  • Late applications may be accepted until 9 October 2026 at participants’ own expense.

Submission Conditions

  • Applications must be submitted via online Expression of Interest form
  • Selection is based on eligibility and relevance to EU–India cooperation priorities
  • Applications are evaluated in multiple rounds (cut-offs)
  • Only eligible SMEs from EU Member States or SMP/COSME-associated countries
  • Participation is limited and competitive
  • Selected SMEs must accept the mission conditions to confirm participation

Eligible Types of Businesses

  • Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) only
  • Innovative SMEs in:
    • Clean energy
    • Manufacturing
    • Digital/industrial technologies linked to green transition
    • Mobility and energy systems

Eligible Countries

  • European Union Member States
  • Countries participating in the Single Market Programme (SMP/COSME strand)

Expected Outcome

Participating SMEs are expected to:

  • Establish new business partnerships with Indian companies
  • Identify market entry and expansion opportunities in India
  • Develop cross-border value chain cooperation
  • Strengthen internationalisation and export capacity
  • Foster collaboration in clean energy and industrial transition sectors
  • Build long-term EU–India commercial relationships

Scope

The call supports SME participation in a matchmaking mission focused on:

  • Renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, hydrogen)
  • Energy storage and battery solutions
  • Smart grids and energy systems
  • Electric mobility and charging infrastructure
  • Clean technology and decarbonisation solutions
  • Industrial and manufacturing innovation linked to green transition

Activities include:

  • B2B matchmaking meetings with Indian companies
  • Networking with clusters and industry stakeholders
  • Participation in thematic sessions and expo-related activities in India
  • Visibility and pitching opportunities during the mission programme
