Heliatek, a leader in organic photovoltaics (OPV), has achieved a significant milestone with its HeliaSol solar films receiving the IEC 61215 certification from TÜV Rheinland. This certification confirms the durability and quality of HeliaSol's ( Heliatek brand) flexible and lightweight solar films, making it the first commercially available OPV product to meet these stringent standards. The certification, along with the IEC 61730:2016, assures customers of the product’s durability and safety through rigorous testing. This achievement underscores Heliatek’s expertise and innovation in OPV technology and will accelerate the adoption of their solar films globally. Heliatek's CEO, Guido van Tartwijk, highlighted this as a critical step towards mass deployment of their green energy solutions. Dr. Eckart Janknecht from TÜV Rheinland praised the continuous development leading to this success. The certified product, HeliaSol 436-2000-CFE-45W-600V, marks the beginning of Heliatek’s latest generation of solar films.
