Infarm announces to retreat from Europe in the face of high energy cost
Layoffs and high energy costs: Infarm has had problems for some time. Now the billion-dollar start-up is apparently forced to move.
Ten years after its founding, the Berlin-based vertical farming start-up Infarm is apparently planning to withdraw from Europe. Of the once 950 employees worldwide, only 80 are to work in European countries, as the Handelsblatt writes, citing people familiar with the matter. Only in December, Infarm had laid off more than half of its workforce - 500 people.
