MDW – Narrow Weaving Machine from Jakob Müller
The narrow band weaving that combines two conventional textile manufacturing technologies i.e. weaving with knitting. It is especially advantageous for long sample repeats or large quantities with consistent design.
Its innovative multidirectional weaving or MDW technology offers:
- New construction possibilities due to 3rd thread system
- Effective production of multi-directionally reinforced surfaces and decorated surfaces
- New perspectives for smart textiles: heating textiles, textile electrodes, luminous textiles, sensor surfaces
Features:
- 2-color weft insertion
- 4 individually controllable laying bars
- 2 aisles with working width of 13 cm each
