Industrial compost and your consumers’ garden compost do not involve the same conditions: a lower temperature, smaller quantities, different plant inputs, etc. This certification allows you to attest to the biodegradability of your products, even in domestic compost.

Requirements

All home compostable raw materials, intermediate and finished products are eligible for this certification system.

This technical specification only takes into consideration home compostability and does not give any assessment of other end-of-life treatments (biodegradation in soil or water, ability of materials to be recycled, etc.) or other environmental aspects ( renewable resources, consumption of energy, water, etc.).
